Title: 18" monza's
Post by: Robo999 on July 08, 2012, 11:38:03 am: Does anybody have or know of non diamond cut monza 1's in 18"? because according to a chap that works for a dealer he has never seen them non diamond cut :confused: i know the 17's weren't but these are genuine monza 1's.they have been refurbed but they were refurbed the same as what they were before..

That's it 100%

The 18's were an option and came diamond cut ONLY.

Plain silver means they must have been refurbished (painted) silver - probably due to white worm which 99% of diamond cut monza's will suffer from eventually.

Not really!
The optional black monza 2 that came with the ed30 was not diamond cut.

Aren't they called "Huffs" or "Detroits" rather than monza?

Post by: Frenzy on July 08, 2012, 09:01:47 pm: yep my are oem 18 monzas and when they came out of the factory they would have been diamond cut with black inserts, however as the third owner of the car i've only ever seen them powder-coated silver and importantly with no sign of white worm.

Correction: They would have been diamond cut with grey inserts as it's a mk5, the mk6 has the black inserts as OEM.
