Thanks to wigit being the guinea pig for REVO. My wife's golf is booked in for a stage 1 map on Wednesday. And apparently it is good for nearly 300bhp. Perfect for the school run.......
:happy2: :driver:

Bet you start 'accidentally' running late dropping the kids off / picking them up so you can step on it make up some time :driver:
-
Funny thing is I drive it, maybe once a week. I'm in my transporter kombi 180 most of the time :happy2:
-
It's funny how infectious Transporters are. One of my mates has 3 Lotuses and an Edition 30. Daily driver is a T5 though!
-
If I had any money I'd buy an ED35. Goddam lovely vehicle and very rare-health to enjoy sir!
Is it true that it has a noise pipe into the cabin??
-
i really liked the revised stage 1 files for later K04 cars, same beans less boost got a thumbs up from me and no fuelling issues on stage 2 :happy2:

Vanworx in Portland. They are doing some van conversions for me, and I am down there next Wednesday so timing couldn't be better

Hi Oli,
When you are at Vanworx would you mind asking if they have the Revo map for the Golf R and how much to install it thx, Do I need to run the R in first I have read to much about running it it on RForum ,I thought it was now accepted it was totally not required.

Hi mate. It's the same engine so yes.
Reference running in I've always said run in for 200 miles, to bed the brakes in. After that drive normally. But if mapping I would allow 1000 miles, just to check all is ok with the engine.

I thought the ED35 TFSI was identical to the Ed30 TFSI bar a small ECU tweak?
-
I thought it was detuned R?
-
It is the detuned 'R' engine.
-
You are all right it is the same as the ED30 and the R engine.......I think
-
Yes, same(ish) engine as the early K04 based Vag 2.0 TFSi stuff. Still uses the Bosch ME9 engine management system.
