Hi all,
I have a slight issue with my R32 brakes on my Edition30, the bottom bolt on the caliper to the carrier has stripped it's self out not damaging the bolt, but instead stripping the thread out of the carrier.
So do I need a new carrier and if so where do i find one?
Could or can it be repaired ?
Any idea on costs for either option?
I still have my standard GTI brakes in a box, I could just replace the lot back to standard
What to do............
It's all been fine for the last 20,000 to 30,000 miles now this, Oohh humm

VW Main Dealer want £160.30 and the part number is 1KO 615 125 F.

Get a helicoil kit mate. Drill out, tap and thread the insert in. Will be good as new. Or weld up, drill out and re-tap. Where abouts are you?

Have order from VW the Audi part 8EO 615 125C
Hoping because the Audi part is from an S3, that it'll come in a standard red, so that I don't have to re-paint it.
Should arrive tomorrow, fingers crossed
