Had a trip up to APS in Brackely last Saturday to participate in the GB ran on here for H&R springs and H&R ARB's...
If anyone is thinking of getting the ARB's changed, do it, it has transformed the feeling of the car dramatically.
A pic of how it now sits, happy with the outcome tbh, and a perfect drop for me... May need a small spacer at the rear to bring them out a bit, but happy for now.

But how do you clean your rear window then?
I have never got that, it looks cleaner, but I have never considered removing mine.
(Car looks ace, and that rolling shot is fantastic!)

Cheers for the replies,
In response to what has changed, From standard the body roll has decreased a lot... Through corners, the car feels more nimble, less like a large whale, more like a nimble seal...
It it still a heavy car and you can feel the weight, but it seems to be more distributed and balanced.
Im not sure how much the springs have made a difference handling wise, but the package together has transformed the cars feel.
Needless to say it feels alot more confident through the corners.
I am yet to test it to the extreme, but a track day may be on the cards in the next few months.
Jamie.

I believe the Springs are part number 29176-2
The ARB's are H&R - 33220-1
Cheers for the comments, very happy with how the car is now!

Baring in mind, these are for the Mk5 R32, not a gti / E30.

The GTI springs have almost the same part number, 29176-1 :happy2:
I had these fitted at APS through the GB a couple of weeks ago and and very happy.
Ed's a top guy :happy2:
There was a very nice R8 there when I was there which had just had a miltek upgrade
-
All the guys at APS are all great, even though they're over 100 miles from me, I won't hesitate to use them again.

agree... why on earth would you compromise on functionality on a road car by removing features?
OP - your car is gorgeous, and in the perfect colour :happy2:

Cracking car the R32... It was a close call between the GTI and one when I changed... call me tight but it was just the extra road tax and extra fuel that stopped me buying one as i do do just a few to many miles a year... DSG R32 lovely

You could always get 55 plate they fall into the lower tax bracket !

Correct but I wanted a newer car bud ... plus coming from a diesel the fuel would make me feel sick ... its bad enough now at 30 mpg never mind 20 !!! maybe one day
