Just wanted to say a Huge thanks to Greeners (Nathan) and Gaz for spending a few days bringing back my now 5 year old Edition 30 truely back to life.
The Alloys have also had a full refurb by A1 wheels in Wolverhampton whilst the car was in for some enhancement.
Im sure at some stage there will be some before and after snaps that were taken by the guys and im hoping they will be posted in due course, but as from these pictures show, im absolutely stunned by the results and considering there was an awful lot of Sanding damage from a previous attempts to rid of and improve some stone chips that were very apparent on the bonnet and front wings.Unfortunately the clearcoat was very badly scratched and what also made the job very difficult, was the fact that the paint thickness is very thin in alot of area's. DMR have done a fantastic job and can recomend them enough to anybody looking to improve their GTi.
Here is just a few snaps...

Very nice. Didn't realise you had dropped it off. Would have popped down to say hello.
-
That's frighteningly amazing. Looks better than new. Wow! :notworthy:
-
As I live just round the corner from steve I went and had a look this evening. I have to say it looks amazing and the wheel refurb is stunning.
Brilliant work at DMR I think I just may pay them a visit myself :happy2:
-
That looks a 1000 times better than when I saw it last Friday! Top job! :happy2:
-
Went round to see Steve's car this evening and it does look amazing, like a brand new car. The wheels are super duper shiny too!!
-
Car looks awesome... Great job :congrats:
-
Awesome Steve, top job that by the guys. Your wheels came out amazing too.

....They do look newer than new when professionals like DMR and Miglior do their magic.
I always thought that Saintly Steve's car looked immaculate before this DMR session so it will now look beyond immaculate!
-
cheers Everyone, like Chungster says, there was ALOT of damage that wasn't always noticeable , I knew it was there and any keen eye would of seen some deep and nasty Damage to the clearcoat.
I cannot get over the difference what the enhancement has done, and those pictures have been taken raw and not played with on Photoshop, that's how she looks.
To be blindfolded and walked into DMR's workshop by my wife, the surprise was immense!
Certainly had a few onlookers on the M42 and M40 home

I thought my car was clean, Looks like i need to spend some time at my own...
-
looks stunning Steve--when the car needs washing again it makes you a bit reluctant to do it or it does in my case
-
looks awesome Steve

This looks stunning I have been looking for detailing for ages. I am sold.

I know the feeling. Mine was finished the days Steve's arrived and I had to drive back in the rain which left the car dirty when I got home. I still haven't washed it............ Maybe this weekend when I pick up enough courage.

Drop Nathan (Greeners) a pm on here, he will tell you all. I cannot recommend it enough. Even dirty as she is now, when the sun shines on the paintwork, it still blows me away how amazing Pearl Black looks. The clarity of the colour is something else.

Car looks amazing Steve :happy2:, Nath and Gaz did my Tornado red a couple of months back :notworthy:

Get so many comments saying the car looks like new. Quick shampoo by me at the weekends and it just tops up the finish the guys gave it.
Worth every penny. :drinking:

Oh my lord, that's stunning, more so than usual Steve. Great work there fellas :congrats:
Surly it can't have needed much doing! Wait till someone sees mine!!

....Then if yours wasn't in good health detailing-wise, then mine must be terminally ill!
Were we perhaps dazzled by only the surface shine you used to achieve, oh saintly one?

Since the bonnet and wings repair I had done, unfortunately the sand paper caused deep in depth damage to the clearcoat, which is too deep to just polish out in a lot of places, putting polish/wax on top will still give a good shine, but if you look closely, all that was seen in the light was thousands of scratches deep in the red paint.
Keep an eye out on Facebook for a link from DMR about the car and will show exactly what I'm talking about. I'm sure DMR will be posting in due course, which I'm very much looking forward to seeing before and afters with the work that they've carried out and why I'm so happy with the way the car looks now. :happy2:
-
^^^^
Then in that case, Steve, I'm kinda glad that I don't do any detailing myself beyond clay and by hand without machines or sandpaper.
I'll leave that to the professionals like DMR and Miglior.
-
Thanks for all the kind comments guys! :ashamed:
We do try our upmost for our customers and it's all worth the effort to hear your comments! :drinking:
Steve I should have the write up done over the next day or so, one or two in the queue in front of you I'm afraid!

Steve,
Any chance you could post a close up of the wheels on here for me.
Currently got some Detroits on mine (which before I got them were redone by Lepsons to gloss black) however the red rim edge looks pretty cool on your car so would like a close pick if poss. Wondering about a slight change from the 'machined edge' look.
That said it's white car so dunno about a painted rim edge in all honesty. Especially as my Turini's are asking for their turn on the car as well..
Cheers in advance.

I have spoke to Nathan (DMR), and there should be his actual progression photos and thread posted either today or tommorow on here, so if there isn't any close up of the wheels then I will post some, or if you are on Facebook, on Detail my rides web page, there is a good pic of a close up of the alloys ..

Thanks Steve,
I'll look out for the full write up soon.
Is the red edge painted on or perhaps done some other way? Looks great anyhow.
