Bought an old Tamiya Sand Scorcher Radio controlled Buggy kit (Unbuilt in it's box) from a supplier who I was buying lots of stuff off, he said he had it I knew it was valuable and asked how much he wanted, he said I could have it at original retail price (£35) as I was emptying his basement of old stock anyway (buying it all), he was Happy with me spending money with him and gave it me for the £35, I checked it over and it was complete, I posted it up on a few forums and a collector in Germany bought it off me for £1800 :happy2:, I heard 2 years later he sold it on for almost £3500 :happy2:
Picked up 2 old RC cars at a car boot sale for £25 and sold them on ebay for £280 :happy2:
I heard about a guy in France who was on holiday in Turkey, he just happened to walk into an old looking shop and up on the top shelves were 3 old RC buggy Kits, he negotiated the guy down to £150 for all 3, he sold them on Ebay for £2400 :notworthy:

Am a big Star Wars fan, have been since my mum took me by the hand aged 6 and took me to see Star Wars A New Hope. :notworthy: :notworthy:
Anywho......... with the (financial) help of my parents I collected all 115 of the original figures plus all the ships, and other bits and bobs, not sure of the outlay, maybe less than £100 at the time. Sold on eBay about 9-10 years ago for £2300.
Seemed like a lot at the time and I was very happy with that but have recently started to scan eBay USA for the figures and some of the ones I sold are going for £100-£250 each in mint condition unopened with a perfect bubble.
Decided I need to own the collection again for my man cave, only problem, collection value today £5k - £10k :sad1:
