I've had my mk5 a couple of years. From time to time I think of changing. At the moment I'd love an ed35. How long do you think it will be before they drop to 15k? I'd love leather and sat nav as my cars spec is quite basic.

BMW 123D Msport with all the bells and whistles!
Hopefully I'll have it within 18 months !
-
See every other post recently covering exactly the same subject.
-
Hopefully a evo but will be waiting a while as insurance is silly at the moment

Swap the other halfs Lupo for something bigger. A passat estate would be nice.
For me. I want to enjoy everything Ive done to the Cupra, 'grow into it' and develop on the road and track then either big turbo next winter or move up in the world.
-
Said it before, say it again Golf R :happy2:
-
Hopefully a aventador or 991 turbo

Don't get an Aventador, my mate sold his after a load of reliability problems........
-
By the time I could afford one they will be 10 years old as hopefully ironed out all the issues lol.
-
Hard to say really.
I'll chop the A6 avant in for a 5 door M135i hatch next year as soon as Issy's toddling about and we don't need to cart so much stuff about. So that's the Dad wagon.
Liz wants a new LOLVO V40, so that's her sorted.
All that's left is my toy.. the current 135i will go, but I've no idea what'll replace it. Quite like the thought of an Elise 2, possibly a 'charged one. Quite like Boxster Spyders. Quite like Cayman Rs. Quite like Caterhams. Quite like 964s. Quite like the GT86.......
And on and on.
-
Going to view my new car on Monday. Deals been done, as long as it is cosha and passes it's viewing. :innocent:

....Surely this is in addition to your Lotus and not instead of, TC? :surprised:
I'm guessing it's a 'family car' replacement.

Only time will give you the answer to that young Robin. :P

Tease... I did send the link to your 72's project post to my mate, as he's looking to get an Exige, and said to see yours!
-
Depends on finances, but if I can afford it, there is only one option:
(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.motorward.com%2Fwp-content%2Fimages%2F2012%2F05%2FRed-Alfa-Romeo-4C-1.jpg&hash=48045affd7a5a0a1b0c8e586a2cdbcac94b91bdc)
Stunning, lightweight, advanced engine tech, built by Maserati with a carbon tub.
If Alfa get this car right - and Marchionne is not the type of man who has been running Alfa in the past, which gives me hope - the 4C will be sensational.
Hopefully, late 2014 I will have the money for it, and the Golf will run until then.
-
Either a Golf R in two years as a replacement to my GTi, or a MK4 R32 in addition to it, GTi for summer, R32 for winter :happy2:
-
Not sure as I don't fancy selling the golf maybe more mods :signLOL:
-
I love my edition 30 and will be enjoying it for a few more years yet.
It's the best all round car that I've owned.
-
A Mk2 Focus ST or Mk5 R32
-
Looking now for a coupe msport 123d Sad to see the golf go easily the best car iv owned so far
-
I love my mk2 cupra to much to even think about getting rid
-
I change my mind every two seconds.
I Like the idea of having a 400hp+ S3 or Golf R but then i think its pointless and wont be any more fun than what i have already.
I'll just use the fabia as a tracktoy and might get a Passat or Superb estate as an everyday motor. Then ill tow the cat to trackdays

My Dad was going to get a superb before he had a stroke and had to give up one of his jobs. Nice cars. I like the Exeo
-
135i for me in 3 years once I see the coupe version!
Enjoy my golf too much now!
Paul
-
R36 for me and keep the Eddy as a "proper" project car.
-
Would love one of these but doubt its gonna happen :signLOL:

My parents neighbour has an Aventador. No issues so far, though he's probably only had it 12 weeks or so.

-

-
Only one contender for me...RS3 as the S3 will be to long in the tooth by that time,as im still loving my gti K04 upgrade :rolleye:
-
Cant decide keep changing my mind but at the moment its swap all my mods onto a scirroco R dsg, add a diff, camber plates, and wmi and fully bush it...... track slaaaaaag! Theres a properly sorted silver one that pops up on alot of nurburgring vids and faaaaack its quick and that M3 has done a 7:36 btg so no slouch :notworthy:
Or
Golf R but as Sy said probably would get bored of it, 0-60 is its party piece me thinks after that....... :indifferent: (havnt driven one mind so may be wrong)
Or
Polo R but depends on a few things which probably wont happen :sad1:
-
Probably a BMW 135i in a year or so.

I've got a photo of my 3-year-old sat in it. I'll try and find it.
Poor lad offered to empty his money box to buy one. I didn't have the heart to tell him that it wouldn't be quite enough!

id love an R36. They've held their money well though

The Golf .:R has done the Nurburgring full lap in 8'23" stock, so that is under 8 mins b to g standard, so it isn't just a one trick pony for the 0-60.

But compared to your ed30 or polo does it feel more detached? A little too easy if you know what i mean, being 4wd and dsg? I guess once stage 2+ with chassis mods it will feel more focused and then more of a fair comparison.
Love the rocco R's aggressive looks, id be happy with either of the R's tbh, swaying towards the rocco though

Ha its good to see he has the right thought process then :happy2:

in stock chassis form it probably does, well my TTRS did compared to the cupra stage 2 plus anyway. Then I drove APR's modded golf R with the chassis mods, and tbh its the most fun Ive had in a car out on public roads. It just makes you smile.

Yes the .:R definitely feels more detached, but then again they both had heaps more mods than the .:R does at the moment. Ask me the same question when the .:R has full bolt-ons inc WMI and suspension and I think my answer may be different
The 'Rocco is a gorgeous looking car and I wouldn't doubt anyone's reasoning for getting one if track performance was their aim. :happy2:
-
After driving my mates Audi rs6 avant remapped to silly bhp then that's the next car for me. Omg!!
This thing took on and beat most things on his last track day. The guy in an Evo had roll cage and had an orange jumpsuit on FFS and got slaughtered by the rs with a boot full of work stuff lol
Loving it.

Even with identical chassis mods as the Polo or Eddy i think it will never be as nimble because its simply heavier.
That said, i loved havin APRs Golf R as a daily driver. bloody thirsty and loud, but what a laugh, and the grip :notworthy: :notworthy: But ultimately, i wouldnt drive it any faster than i do the Fabia irrelevant of having an extra 100-200hp which is why as much as i love the idea of having that much performance at hand, i wouldnt use it so for me it would only be a willy waiving exercise.
I often trawl ebay and autotrader looking at Audi A8 4.2TDI Quattros though.

RS4

Mk1 Golf as project hopefully! :pomppomp:

I sold my golf to go back to a Honda Civic TypeR EP3 a month or so ago and don't regret it one bit. I have wanted ITBs on a car ever since I could drive so this is a big reason as to why I went back to NA.
