Hi all
You may have seen in this months VW Driver mag that someone has written in complaining that his Passat (B5.5 IIRC) is suffering from rusty front wheelarches. Having read the letter I emailed VWD and informed them that the issue also badly affects the Mk5 Golf too (and told the tale of my car having just had 2 wings under warranty) - I had a reply fron Neil Birkitt thismorning saying he was totally unaware that the Golf suffered too , and he had heard nothing about it before? I sent some links by reply , including a couple off here , showing the scale of the problem. I wonder how many VWs have this problem around the world then , if its costing VW around £1000 to sort every car out under warranty , how much must it be costing them? :surprised:
