Just got to tell some as im wound up.
I got a new car almost a month ago now and the alloys were immaculate...were being the key word.
My mum uses the car during the day and I've come home tonight and checked the alloys and one of them is fu**ed. So piĀ£$ed off but obviously can't say anything as shes not done it on purpose but still its really fu0ked me off. :sad1:

TC would normally say one damaged rim deserves another, but only applies if I was your other half
Sorry to hear it mate.
Russ at midlands car care does gleaming wheel repairs / refurbs if it helps

There is a place local to me but I really could do without the cost right now, savings for a house are killing me and i've set aside any spare money for a charity bike ride in 2 weeks (I need new stuff).
I will wait till after winter now as I can see all 4 being done by then. I am always that little bit extra careful when I park up etc not to scratch the alloys, looks like its been steamed into a kerb and run all the way down it. Doesn't even know shes done it, 'whats kerbing?' FFS.

It's happened to us all mate. I feel your pain.
-
It's reckon its worse when you do it yourself, no one else to blame! Had my Pescara's refurb'd in a lovely gun metal Grey (couldn't be happier) and 2 days later I ran down the side of a kerb while parking, completely FUBAR'd the entire rim. Can't be arsed to get it done again!
I feel for you fella, give your mam a hug, you've only got the one!

I know it doesnt really matter its just the fact that I look after my car and the alloys dont even have so much as a tar spot on them.
You can drive up kerbs in a 206 with 14" steel wheels not 18" alloys :fighting:
Im sure I will wake up in a better mood.

Theres something about new cars, they have to be damaged in the first month of ownership...my dad drove my Edition 30 into the gate :fighting:

Lol my sister stuffed my old A3 1.6 when it was less than 6 months old. Needed a whole new front end! I wasn't even told until after I sold it 5 years later! (I was away at the time.)
-
My brother stuffed his new S4 into the car in front of him while perving at some girls on the pavement, muppet! :signLOL:

they have to be damaged in the first month of ownership...
How true! I reversed into a concrete column after a full 3 weeks of ownership! Tosser!
Op, we're hopefully making your kerbed alloy seem like less of a deal...?

The 1st few weeks of owning my GTI were pretty painful in terms of the alloys. It was the 1st car I've owned with 18's and the sound from the 1st kerbing was just excruciating...but got easier the more it happened
I'm a lot more careful now, although they are all kerbed so not as painful if it did happen again. Planning on getting some new wheels in the spring :happy2:

Everyone of my alloys has kerb marks, previous owner had them all done 2 weeks before I bought the car and his missus managed to kerb them all within 10 days :stupid:, oh and she also clipped a gatepost scratching the rear wheelarch and breaking the bumper clip (another thing on my to do list after winter!), at least the owner himeself admitted to scraping the front splitter twice :signLOL: (another job)

Yep thats the thing, if they were already kerbed I wouldn't have cared but they were all spotless. Need a local repairer to sort it out.
