want to lower my mk5 gti but not sure what to get. the two im up against are h&r 30mm springs or fk street coilovers. there both the same price pretty much. i dont want to go super low but i also want a half decent ride quality. its also nice to know that i can go lower if i want with coilovers but on the other hand i want ride comfort. not really got much more on my budget. what are your opinions.
iv used the search and h&r got good reviews but some say not low enough. fk is mixed reviews. im swinging towards fk at the moment. what you think

If you want comfort then springs it is

I would go with springs out of those options and with your budget. I am sure H&R do some springs with about a 45mm-50mm drop (i could be wrong) and your car would look spot on IMO. Or save a bit more and go for adjustable coilovers? Have a look at Bilstein B14's, KW V1's, H&R Twin Tube's or Koni.

Springs I would go for if your on a budget
I've got a set of h&r 50mm kit for sale in the for sale section :)

Ideally I would save up some more and buy better coilovers having said that the h&r springs will ride great and lower the car I wouldn't buy the fk's they will ruin the ride of the golf and unless there the stainless ones running koni inserts they will leak after a short time
I run h&r modified ultra lows and they are awesome before that I had h&r twintubes running koni inserts and my 1st change was eibach sportline springs if you want comfort over lows choose the springs unless your going to spend big on coilovers

Im going for weitec i think when iv saved some cash back up
