Basically...
Every now and then my battery will cut off. Sometimes I will press the unlock button on key fob, but battery will seem like it's dead. I have to unlock the car manually and then pop the bonnet, and move the battery around a little, and it the power will be back on but clock and trip will have reset to 0.
It sometimes happens when I start the car too. So when I am about to turn ignition key, the lights come on for half a second, then it all cuts out, again like the battery is dead. I can get the car going again if I slam the door shut or pop the bonnet and move the battery around.
A couple of times as soon as I turn off the car, before I pull the key out, all the power cuts off again.
It has never cut off while driving or anything like that.
Can anybody help?

Sounds like loose earth. Have you checked your battery connections, they might be a bit loose. :happy2:

x2 ^^^
Sounds like something is not connected correctly...
Good luck with getting it sorted :happy2:

If it were a loose connection, say I was driving, would it not randomly cut off then?

no because the alternator is providing the juice

Okay I see. Well it seems like it is something simple then and puts my mind at rest, until I sort the problem that is. By connections do you mean just the ones at the point of the battery?
