There's both a Leon twintake and GTI twintake for sale here atm, so depending on what car you could get an excellent intake, read RedRobins review on the twintake to get an idea of what you would get.

Regarding HPFP, there's the Autotech internals for home fitment or get the LOBA rebuilt HPFP for peace of mind IMO

RS4 injectors would be overkill but as long as your tuner has a map for the K04 with RS4 injectors all is fine, but do consider the S3 injectors as the RS4 are for above 400bhp IMO

is there really an improvement with RS4 injectors? i read somewhere that they flow the same amount of fuel as the regular K03 injectors, which would make sense as each cylinder is only producing about the same amount of power as each cylinder in the K03 engine 2.0T (197bhp/4cyl = 49ish, 414bhp/8cyl = 52ish)

Problem with the rs4 injectors is that don't give an ideal spray pattern for the gti engine vs the S3 ones.

Hey DV21

Consider that most remappers account for the S3 injectors instead of the RS4 options as you have previously discussed unless you're going for a completely custom map. And then again the spray pattern isn't optimal for this head. APR offers a K04 remap for your vehicle and I'd advise you upgrade to an RS4 fuel pressure relief valve to get the maximum from your vehicle with the HPFP and injectors.

Details about the kit and remap can be found here: http://www.goapr.co.uk/products/turbo_trans20t_k04.html Please note, the remap can be purchased separately of the kit (£499+VAT) and will function as advertised if the components match.

If you are considering the APR remap avenue, we have two distributors you seem to sit conveniently between.

You could go to JKM as they have several successfully converted K04 cars already running.  :happy2:

cheaper to take your engine out and put a full s3 engine and sell your old engine

i worked that out the hard way  lol.

By the way, do you know what are the changes needed in the car to make this happen (in detail)? And what software should be used, is the change tailored around S3 or GTI sw? IIRC boost sensor range is different between the engines.
