Hello !
Just got my 2006GTI from rdfcpete. He's definitely stiffed me;)
The heated seats aren't working, checked fuses and fault codes. Mechanic by trade just not a very good one it seems.
Anyone experienced this? Or know a fix?
Thanks in advance.
Adam.

Wiring ok under the seat?
-
Daft question, but are you sitting on them to make them operate? Take a few minutes to get going
-
My best advice would be just take a little tiddle on the seat  It feels the same! You wouldnt have a clue :)

My seats take a good 5 mins before they start to heat up, and that's only when I'm sitting on them.
If its a frosty morning I will start my car and put the heaters and heated seats on and start scraping the windows when I get in the car the seats still have no heat in them

Haha good shout chris!
Yes sitting on them, i can go for a 20 minute drive and they are still stone cold.
The wiring looks ok? I hate anything electrical. If it was the wiring under the seat would it effect both of them though? Neither work at all.
I think il get the master tech at work to have a look just wondered if it was a common simple fix!
Thanks for the help guys :happy2:

Could be something wrong with yours. My seats have always heated up nearly instantly. Only takes a few seconds to get going even in freezing conditions.
