Title: Is there any common engine problems?

Post by: neg on June 18, 2009, 11:49:14 pm: Nothing really common, out the box there pretty good. Those that have had issues - coilpacks, spark plugs, MAF's, loose pipes, torn DV's, PCV's - all wear and tear sort of items, the biggest issue some have had is fuel pumps.

Post by: Edition30 on June 19, 2009, 01:30:58 am: I think its to do with how you treat it aswel, look after it and it will be just fine. Like someone said though the earlier model had DV problems when remapped but there have been a few revisions of the valve and seems fine now and cheap from VW aswel, somewhere in the region of Ã‚Â£30 I think.
