Title: Anyone ever had there lower Rad hose pop off? GT TDI

basically went to work as usual, then finished my shift at the lovely time of 4am went to start her up gets a warning noise and MFD coolant low. thought hmm ok pop back into work for some water to atleast get me home. Arrive home and thought might as well top up with actual coolant so i dont forget when im half asleep in the morning, only to hear a glugging noise and coolant to wash past my feet....... safe to say i thought "oh f*ck" got the torch out an noticed the lower rad hose had come off?

anyone know why this has happened? or how and most importantly if i stick it back on an fill her up with coolant will it happen again!

I dont know if my 1.9tdi will be the same but i flushed my coolant the other day and to remove the bottom rad hose pipe its much like removing a boost pipe you pop the metal clip off and pull the hose off so maybe the clip has fallen off some how

On my brothers golf the retaining clip was corroded and fell apart, resulting in the pipe popping off.
You may just need a new clip?
