As some of you may know I put my BBS CH from my last car on to my S3, however I am still not totally 100% convinced that they look right in black. I am thinking of changing them back to the original silver, is this a bad move or not? What do we think guys?
Pictures of the car:

i would prefer a lighter colour

i would prefer a lighter colour
That's what im thinking, there is a lot of silver detailing on the car and I think the black is clashing with it :chicken:
-
i've seen countless deep blue pearl .:R32's with black rims... and not seen one that looks right yet! black rims on a blue car just dont contrast enough, they need to be silver or white......
edit: do you live on Ramsey street?
-
I just typed that they look spot on in black, but the more I look at the photos, the more I think a silver with a slight brushed effect (kind of like Robin's newly refurbished Monza II's) would look great!
-
I like 'em in black
-
What's Ramsey Street? :ashamed: :ashamed:
I really think that a bright silver would look spot on, gonna give Gerry at WRC wheels repairs a call tomoz see what he thinks :happy2:
-
I'm going to say the standard wheels with a anthracite inner and turned faces (ala monza II), don't know why I've seen them today on a couple of tt-s's and one s3 and they really have grown on.

Not for me them wheels mate, they are very marmite I think :happy2:

fancy getting a quote to gloss black those B pillars too while you're there? :chicken: :happy2:

I know what your saying mate, a bit of vinyl should sort that out
-
I think they look great in black, what about anthracite in colour ?
-
I have thought about anthracite Steve, I am gonna have a good think about it and get it sorted. Why is there so many choices in colour :scared: :scared:
-
Anthracite on DPB R32s looks the shizzle... anyone photoshop it for you?
-
Silver would look nice, the black looks really good and a nice polished Anthracite would be the mutz nutz if you ask me. I have to say tho that I really like the blue on black and would be tempted to colour code all the silver bits rather than change the wheels. Or alternatively donate them to worthy cause.........my car. The black would look spot on on the red! :signLOL:
-
If any photoshop guru could do me a photoshop in anthracite and silver that would be muchly appreciated :happy2:
-
that looks fantastic :happy2:

I've never understood the point in having nice alloys and then painting them so that the detail in the wheel
is totally lost. In my opinion silver is the only colour to have if you want your cars alloys to stand out.
Maybe I've missed the point.
-
Yes - i think silver... even better with diamond cut finish
-
BBS Ball Polished Silver FTW on yours Tom
-
I think the colours wicked, don't see many black alloys (better than white)
Don't these BBs CH's have rim replacement options or sumin incase of curbage??
-
the black edition do, but Toms are custom finish silver rascals
-
I like them. :happy2:

....I feel exactly the same. But what do I know, I'm only a designer 8)
-
look class in silver but think anthracite with the lip would look equally good with the blue :happy2:
-
I think silver mate, :happy2: will make the wheels look bigger more noticeable if you get what i mean, but make sure you get the original BBS paint code, reckon just any other bright silver just won't look right.
-
the grey renault use on the megane sport would look good , its lighter than mine .....

My vote goes for the whitest silver you can find compliments the blue perfectly.
Who is the guy with the silver ch's on the DBP R 32 was it Dave fish. take a look at his and your mind will be made up. :happy2:

think I've got some somewhere, cost me 60 quid for a litre
-
Another vote to keep em as they are......... :happy2:
-
How about the brightest silver you can get with a dark/smoked laquer?
-
I'm very much torn between a smoky anthracite and bright silver, im gonna go with the latter for the safe option I think :happy2: As JT has said the wheels will look a lot bigger when they are silver to :happy2:
-
SteveP's fully polished would be really bling but work I think :happy2:
In reality Id go with Greenouses silver with dark lacquer.
For a simpler option you could paint the wheel caps/centre cap silver? or even the cars colour as rim tape?
(just throwing up some cheaper options :signLOL:)
-
I like them in black, I say save the money on changin the coulor of the wheel and buy a black optic grill?
-
id do something a lil more different and powdercoat them gloss white!

I thought about that but having seen a few Sprint Blue's with black optics and it just don't look right :surprised: :chicken:
