Now that floats my boat.
a 2.5T Porsche Cayman PDK. Imagine that with a few choice mods, a remap and water meth

It has been on the Pork config for a day or 2 now. no 350 horses, a bit less power than the last one. Just specced mine to 60,000 bags of sand. :rolleye:
You cant say the dealers wont earn there money. It would only let me pick tinted window if i bought fancy carpets for £250. Think i will wait the 4 years for the R version. The launch yellow is tasty though.

pah you're not trying hard enough - £62,532! always loved the Cayman. definitely will have one in my lifetime!

About time they made this properly quick... was hanging on the tails of a standard one the other day.
-
I like it... but is it really better than the M135i?

Andrew! you are being mischievous this evening, tough day at work? .

that's just because the GTI is a very all round good car. a few years ago Car magazine did a test with a few top end cars (R54, R8, Porsche 911 GT3) and took a GTI along as an everyman benchmark
the GT3 had a hard time losing the GTI on twisty B roads according to them. on a track it would be no contest, but in the real world there wasn't much separating a family hatch from a purpose built lightened sports car costing 4x the price.

dunno. the Cayman Turbo doesn't exist yet
:innocent:

So this must mean a turbo Boxster one day fairly soon...
Interesting concept making the straight 6 with a turbo (or a couple of turbos) more commonly used in the Porsche model range.

Aww, howay! You know that was a joke!

Seriously though, I love the new Cayman shape, it is utterly gorgeous. I can really see the Cayman becoming the more focussed sports car (it probably is already) and the 911 maturing to more of a GT.

I'd have a new Cayman over an M135i any day of the week - no matter what any Journo review says or how fast an M135i is or isn't compared to it. I think I'd still prefer an N/A with the sport chassis.
I had a new Boxster for a few hours a couple of weeks back, and I absolutely fell in love with it.
Shame you can't get 2 adults, a child and a buggy in one
