Title: Fitting polar fis
Post by: craig_t on December 08, 2012, 05:15:38 pm
Just brought a polar fis from a guy on here, just wanted to gauge how hard it is to fit. I recently fitted a new gateway as I was having battery drain issues with my rcd510.

This was a painful job I remember, my gateway is up under the clutch pedal and there isn't much room to get your hand up there. But am I right in thinking fitting the polar is going to be easier?

If you can manage to unplug the plug into the gateway without removing the actual gateway (very difficult to do IMO) then all will be easy to install.
Did you remove the plastic piece at the bottom of the dashboard when you last did the gateway replacement as you get more room for maneuvring if you did.
