My glovebox light stopped working a while ago. I have now got the casing out and changed the bulb, which had clearly blown. However it won't work with a new bulb either. I have tried several different bulbs, but whenever I plug it back in I can't get it to light up. It's not the fuse either. Is there some obvious reason for this?

Have you got 12v power to the bulb holder?
Check that first then move back down the wiring to the connector.
If there is no power at the connector it could be a break in the loom between there and the fuse box.
Try wiggling the wiring and the connector - you might find a break there.

the switch won't be working at the back of the glove box

Not realised it didn't work so i had a look and the bulb was okay so I found the switch not attached to the glove box and signs of glue on it..Must of been done at the audio place in Sunderland as they had snapped the slide bit of where it attached to the glove box and had tried to glue it back on :fighting:Just can't be arsed taking the glove box out to fit a new one :jumping: :jumping:

Thanks guys! :happy2: That sounds like the problem. Not sure if it's worth the hassle to put right then as it's not an essential function.
