Title: GTI front bumper.
Post by: graeme on February 07, 2013, 03:00:59 pm
I was wondering if any one knew of the cost of a new front bumper from the Volkswagen before i butcher mine tomorrow. Just in case at some point it needs to go back to standard.

Sorry to be NO help regarding a 'new' bumper. I know you can pick up shells for around £50-£100 through eBay. Both new & second hand ones would need painting unless you got lucky.

What are you chopping on yours?

I have decided that the gti will retire its life as a track car and will be drilling holes in the bumper for quick latches for trackday use. I might hold out and buy a cheap one off of ebay for 50 quid and wreck that. All the ones that are on ebay at the moment are damaged. i still want it to fit properly haha.  :happy2: I will probably change my mind tomorrow when i go to do it as usual.

I would say get a cheap one, that way you can return to standard in a very good condition without having to lay out top money for a decent spray job to get it to a sellable or satisfactory standard :)
