Hellor everyone just incase someone wanted something to reference too in the future. I am just going to do a rough fitting guide for the GTI side skirts onto a normal golf..
Right I started by ordering the components shown below on the vw system picture...
If anyone needs part numbers I can get those for you.

Masked off the area that the screws were to be drilled and fitted into.

Offered up the sideskirt and marked the top part in pen. I measured down from that line. And marked off the holes I was to drill.

After marking the holes punched a small indent to guide the drill in.

Using a retro hand crank drill with the correct size drill bit started drilling the holes.(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg.tapatalk.com%2Fd%2F13%2F02%2F10%2Fy2y3aqar.jpg&hash=1817a97dccebbe43a329e945488fd62c2f3b3b47)then began fixing the screws in (bloody ball ache) (https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg.tapatalk.com%2Fd%2F13%2F02%2F10%2Fatyna7ud.jpg&hash=2c161f1652eebd988e9736d5e9a601f3a8f17802)

Then removed all tape, used some loctite on the screws. And hooked the side skirts on.(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg.tapatalk.com%2Fd%2F13%2F02%2F10%2Fujedutut.jpg&hash=380f2c125d92fc57fcda35510832409cead654f6)(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg.tapatalk.com%2Fd%2F13%2F02%2F10%2F4epy8yby.jpg&hash=131c989b89c1452d9ad6657b831dcdc7ccb1303b)(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg.tapatalk.com%2Fd%2F13%2F02%2F10%2Fa8abapus.jpg&hash=c5ce12c8043bf2681663b33b9191330b94e958e0)(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg.tapatalk.com%2Fd%2F13%2F02%2F10%2F8ama4amy.jpg&hash=caf743a092431f5a784e416f95b338209edf645e) final job was just to put screws in the front arch. Two underneath, and one towards the rear of the skirt. Remove the sticky protector on the sill and stick onto bodywork when all in place and secured. Finally a pic of my tools of choice for the day :)(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg.tapatalk.com%2Fd%2F13%2F02%2F10%2Fry6y9a5u.jpg&hash=e0b34eb6854b56be4111414eb846438c47119b1a)
Just thought it may be of use to someone in future.

Great guide you've done there, Nice one! Much better and much more detailed than other guides I've seen. :happy2:
I've stuck a link to this thread in the main "How to guide" thread so hopefully it will be added to that section.

Very useful! Well done for a very nice writeup - Thanks! Can anyone confirm you dont actually need to drill holes? Just use double sided tape or no nails - equivilent

Dont use No more nails it wont work. I did drill 3 holes on each side especially at the rear and used self tappers, make sure you seal the hole.

Ye something like that should bond it and should work.
I'm just abit particular so purchased the bolt kit aswel, and if I'm doing a job it's done exactly how I want it to be :D.
Thanks for the comments guys, hopefully it helps people in the future.
And if anyone wants any more information or measurements just ask Il go outside and do some measuring. :)
