Title: Wrong springs??

Just bought a set of H&R lowering springs 35mm      Front: VA 29261-2VA

Rear: HA 29261 HA off a guy from eBay new unused its says on H&R's web site they fit mk5 golf mines the mk5 GT TDI which has a different part number?? I'm confused? Before I set about getting dirty does anyone know I these will be ok or not?

They will fit 100% but the car may be lower or not lower enough  :wink:

^^^^^^^ above part no is correct. They will fit but they might not lower it

Just for info the H&R's I have on my GT Sport are the 29176-1's.

These are the ones I have on my GTI and they lower it by about 30mm. The box said these are also the ones for the GT sport.

I think the 29261's will lower less or not at all.

I'm lost now? How would it not lower it at all there 35mm instead of 30mm
I'm not sure weather to get the spanners out or not now??

I can only assume suggestions of them not lowering it at all will be down to the springs being designed for a set weight. Different models will vary in weight, how much i dont know and am just guessing as to why the end result may be different.

Ahh I see! I really can't see that my car is so heavy that it wouldn't lower it plus the srings I have lower by 35mm and not 30 mm so surly that should compensate ?

don't for get as well its not how low its going to go but the weight ratio of the springs as a tdi engine is heavier than a gti

they will fit no problem but they are for a gti/e30 so the wrong axle weight
