Title: Intake and cat back exhaust
Post by: Waynevr6 on February 13, 2013, 07:47:39 pm
Hi, does fitting an intake and cat back exhaust put up any warning codes? I don't want to go to the expense of fitting these before having the car remapped if it will throw up some fault codes.

Thanks in advance

Certainly shouldn't do.

Check out the 'for sale' section and there is exactly what you may be wanting on offer as you read this  :happy2:

Brilliant, another question does any aftermarket Gti exhaust fit the edition 30 or is there a difference?

The Edition 30/Pirelli Milltek exhaust will fit a standard GTI and vice-versa.

The only difference is the tips (aesthetics).

I have the standard GTI Milltek on mine. It looks like the OEM (rounded tips) but slightly wider exits. The Milltek ones are attached with exhaust clamps so can be changed at a later date without replacing the back-box.

I had a turbo back and intake fitted before a remap and had no error codes.
