Title: Start up noise / grumble on Edition 30

Hi Guys / Gals

Strange one really

Car was purchased before Xmas, 70k, DSG, full service history,and last month had full service and dsg service at Midlands VW in Cannock. Now thing is, when I have started it from cold since the service I have noticed a noise at  start up, almost a rumble! As soon as its idling, the noise has disappeared, no issues with way it drives or on up or down shifts on the DSG box
 
So onto this evening, car has been sat on the drive all day, I jump in, fire it up and was quite startled by the noise when turning the key!! I can only describe it as a rumble this time round, will try and get a vid of it in the morning!

Anyone else had similar issue?

The 2.0 turbo is notorious for it's weak start and slightly odd noise on start up. I thought there was something wrong with mine too, but turns out it's perfectly normal.

Be interesting to see what your video shows anyway :)
