Hi all, has anyone seen or heard of anyone converting a GTI to run 4 wheel drive like an S3 or R32??
Cheers!

yes,
I seem to remember one on here mentioning it.
Best way to do it would be to buy a 2,0 TDI mk 5 with 4wd, i know you have them in the UK. They are ultra rare here in Denmark.
And then drop a 2,0 TFSI in it, easiest solution by far.

James is doing it with his, when he gets back from abroad.
He bought all the bits from an S3 :happy2:

it pic already been done ky a bloke called Alan Fishburn who used a audi as the donor car

Thanks for the link, always wondered how difficult it would be. Sounds very tempting!!

Isn't then Audi 2.0T Quattro just like an AWD GTi??
They're both K03 aren't they?

Sounds like a good idea if you were starting out with this idea, but I already have a MK5 GTI. So buying another car and stripping a perfectly good GTI would cost me a fortune in the long run I think!
