Its a must see event, especially with GAS. However the free tickets are a friday entry, and the best days are definately the saturday or sunday

Thursday is Moving Motor Show not strictly FoS.
You can get Thursday tickets free but also Friday ones.

About Goodwood Moving Motor Show
More than 20 new car manufacturers have already confirmed their participation in the 2013 event, with all exhibition spaces sold out by the end of February. Expect to see UK debuts and new model launches from manufacturers as diverse as Skoda, Peugeot, Lexus and Porsche.
The cars will undertake hundreds of runs on a special evaluation route that includes the world famous Goodwood hill climb, following in the wheel tracks of celebrated racing drivers from Sir Stirling Moss to Sebastian Vettel.
All visitors to the 2013 Moving Motor Show will also be able to gain free access to many of the Festival’s other attractions including the Cartier Style et Luxe concours d’elegance, the F1, motorcycle and Supercar paddocks, the action sports arena and much more.

How to claim
Tickets must be booked before midday on Friday, May 24, 2013.
1) To book your free tickets, visit ticketing.goodwood.com and click Book Tickets.
2) If you do not have a Goodwood account, you will be prompted to create one. Once you have logged in, go to Step 2 - Tickets tab and select the number of tickets you require for Thursday 11th July. If you require tickets for those aged 21 or under, please use the relevant tab at the top of the booking area. Please note there is a maximum of four tickets per household. Once you add these to your basket, click Continue to purchase enhancements and merchandise or proceed straight to the Checkout tab.
3) Enter the promotional code MMSTELE13 and click Next. Enter a billing and delivery address and click Next.
4) Choose a delivery method and tick the Terms & Conditions box, then click Confirm Order.
5) Goodwood will then post your tickets to you. You should receive your tickets by Thursday, July 4, 2013, unless you have opted for priority signed for courier delivery.
