Title: Ed the steel grey edition 30 apr tuned
Post by: detailer on April 30, 2013, 06:57:16 am
Well decided I may as well get a build thread going on this. I've had the car for a month now, and I have too say its one of the best all round cars I've ever owned. The added bonus being I got it at a great price. The car has full extensive Vw service history also.
Since owning the car I've done the following.
Had the front bumper repainted due to annoying stone chips. ( I have OCD and as I own a detailing business it needs to be right)
Carried out a full service including changing the pcv and dump valve for piece of mind.
Full set of new tyres
Fitted a neuspeed p flow ( soon for sale)
Apr stage 1 remap
Fitted new smoked plates
Replaced the bottom grills too freshen it up
And of course it had a detail but will never be happy  :happy2:

A few pictures sorry I am crap at taking pictures.

Painted the calipers today while it was a nice day. Sanded them down and removed the loose paint first. Come out well.

A VW specialist cracked mine but I haven't got the bottle to cut mine up and fit a neuspeed filter yet  :signLOL:

Do u find the filter noisy?
Title: Re: Ed the steel grey edition 30 apr tuned

No it's not over noisy I just find it sounds like a vac sometimes which is why I may sell and go back too standard .

I took my p flo off my Leon as it was too noisy, it's gathering dust in the garage :)

Lovely car.  Looks very crisp in the pics, obviously down to your detailing. Just done mine with hex logic pads and chemical guys polishes and it looks so much better now in the flesh - does take an age to do right mind.

What's that mod you've done with your indicators?

Very cool IMO  :happy2: I ran these on my SG GTI and the yellow does bounce off nicely. Also makes you noticeable by even the least observant or blind drivers

Smart motor this and you did a top job on the engine cover, looks very tidily done.

Hi there, your ed30 looks awesome, love the attention to detail. I need to paint my rear calipers as they are flaking, where did you get the paint from and what colour is it? It looks a great match to the factory colour. Did you primer before paint?
