Hey guys was on the hunt for a edition 30 but could not find the right one so ended up with a golf gti mk5.
Will get a few pics and spec up of her later.

At the moment the car is totally original but do want to go down the modding route.

Just had my exhaust done last week and it has changed totally. 
Sound awesome on full throttle and nice and bubbly on normal driving.
Looking at getting a induction kit now then a re map.  What do you guys recommend?

CAI's from £200-£450 so depends on your budget really.

ITG, APR/VWR, FORGE Twintake and REVO are the more expensive ones and EVOMS, Nuespeed, AMD, Volant are less so. Have a look at the ITG and EVOMS, covers both ends (cost wise) and probably not a load of difference in their performance. ITG for whoosh dish and EVOMS for a bit of cha cha cha.

For a map, the main peeps used on this forum (ATM) are Rtech, REVO or even APR. Rtech £300, the others around £600 IIRC.

performance torque are also excellent having used them a number of times on the mk5/6 platform myself

Thanks for the info guys. .. I been looking into getting the itg maxogen kit. 
Read great stuff about it and price is better than the rest.

Hi guys it's been a while since I been on here as I sold my golf gti, but I'm back and have bought a edition 30 dsg. 
Few things I would like to know if you can help me.
I want to know what number my edition 30 is so how do I go about doing that?
Also I seen that you can get the badge to show your number. I want to know where I can get that from also.

Welcome mate, Speak to Jenny at VW customer services on 0844 375 4625 and ask for your build number, She will tell you if one is available and send out straight away. Not forgetting get some photos up of your Edition 30. :happy2:
