Hi guys, just wondering if any of yous with auto headlights suffer from them turning themselves on in conditions where they are not needed?
For example, driving to work in the sun this morning, blue sky, bright, and they're switched on?
Conversely, sometimes when it's dull and raining heavily, they won't come on?
Find it really irritating as it takes away the whole point of "auto" lights!

Personally I have never had any problems, they like to flash people though when I go under a bridge!

Yep.... this is part of their design. The come on in the dark and also conditions where the sun might be dazzling.

Fair enough for coming on in the sun then, but not coming on when it's dull and raining is a problem....

Maybe is not quite dull enough? :signLOL:
TBF.. most of the time I drive around with them on anyway.

They come on at 85MPH aswell.

I wouldn't mind having them on all the time if they were xenons
I think there will be a way you can adjust the sensitivity of them, so might get a friend with vag com to have a look for me :)

im the opposite, cost me a fortune for xenon bulbs so i try and reduce usage. lol
you can adjust them easy enough with vcds like you say. has the windows been replaced at somepoint as there is specific settings for the different types of glass.

Yea, xenons. bought some philips ones off the bay for a fraction of the cost from a good company and they lasted two months, musta been fake. Bought the same philips ones off powerbulbs or summit like that for £160 and that was FEB2012 and they are still going strong.

Tell you what, since those bulbs are sooo expensive, i'll take your xenons off your hands free of charge and i'll give you my cheap to run headlights? :signLOL:

I disconnected the sensor cause it sent my wipers nuts, so mines are on all the time
