hi can anyone tell me the best place to have a remap done for a 1.9 tdi bluemotion thanks
-
where are you located
-
Stay away from cheap £150 remaps as its a few parameters changed in the map to get an easy gain and can be harmful to your engine. Dependant on your location, your best off going with one of the tuners that contributes to the forum and has recommendations from fellow forumer's.
Expect to pay around £300 for a quality custom map, or up to £600 for a premium brand, although you will get pretty much the same result from all tuners :happy2:

Google Pendle performance,he's over by Shipley.
I had my Caddy van done, went from 104 to 144ps and its the best £260 I've spent on that van.
Pulls brilliantly and smooth through every gear, and there's at least another 10 people from the caddy forum that's had it done by him and they all say the same.Cant recommend him enough.
But as said, stay away from cheapo's and the mobile tuners :)

See my post above about a reputable tuner. PDT in Sunderland are good, as are R-Tech in Hinkley. You won't be disappointed by either as they will thoroughly check over your car prior to a remap and will upload a proper custom map to suit your driving style and hardware.
Awesome GTI is a generic map, installed with no Heath check or data logging.
It's your car, but don't skimp when it comes to your engine. That's the best advice I can give. . .

Martin @ Pendle has the rolling road and does a full vehicle/engine diagnostics run and rights any wrongs before he does anything.

Easy there fanboy - Top Cat doesn't like you overselling. I got in trouble for explaining why R-Tech are the bestest :chicken:
I've heard good things about Darkside (and would probably take mine there) but they ain't cheap for a remap :surprised:
-
Lol Martin been buying software from others for a long time not a long time writing maps. As above Darkside are leading the Uk tdi tuning game hands down and at every stage of tune.

Easy answer... R-Tech. They sorted out my car after another tuner (who just buys maps from a big database and uploads them) completely screwed my car up.
