Title: The millionth DV question
Post by: alexmccabe on June 03, 2013, 11:33:02 pm
Whoa yet another DV question. Sorry.

However it's not that simple; I replaced my DV for a rev G a few months back, then around a month later replaced the PCV. Now I'm hearing a slight hiss on acceleration again. It can't surely be the DV, though I'm hoping it is.

If it is, what could have caused it to split so soon, if not what else could it be? I'm not great with engines, so as simple as possible please  :ashamed: haha

Sorry if I should actually know....

Are all the Allen bolts 100% tight?

Just a thought :)

I had a mechanic fit it, so I would hope so! Haha. I'll have another look at it. Thanks.

Isn't the Rev G a diaphragm and therefore susceptible to splitting when used in the stock k03 location due to being exposed to high temperatures? I was under the impression the Rev G should only be used with a K04 or DV relocation?

Otherwise the piston type Rev D should be used. I might be wrong though, read varying viewpoints on this.

Check your intercooler hose's as one of the hose's may be leaking boost, mine's starting to leak oil onto the plastic weather shield underneath and i'm losing quite a lot of power and boost,it's worth a check.
