Title: I think this is broke.! (with pic)

Moved the passenger seat forward at the weekend to let someone in,the seat did,nt sound happy about it and saw this...

Its the silver looking object in the seat track.You can move it by lifting up the catch on the right.I dont remember it been there before and ask the honourable members if its broke..

haha...maybe. i thought it was something to aid the seat back to its original position? this is on a 3dr car btw...so the seat base moves on its runners when someone gets in the back.

i though this thing stays in the last place the seat was.

so you dont have to adjust the seat when you sit back down

does your seat still slide forward when you pull up the handle? if not theres a wee black plastic hook thingy which I had to replace as one end broke off...fiddly wee bugger to fit.
