Wow really nice ....couple of questions ...how did you wrap the door trims ? Can it be done without removing them ? What interior lights did you use ? And how did you clean the engine bay ? ....think the ed30 front spoiler will finish it off nicely

They ping off the door cards. Get some trim tools. They could be done on the car but it wouldnt be neat

the door trims pop off using some trim tools mate, i wouldnt try using anything else to get them off though as you may damage them.

the interior lights are LED's. i got a kit off a guy on here back in January, his email address is matt.towers@btinternet.com drop him an email and he can sort you out!  :happy2:

the engine bay i just used some de-greaser, hot soapy water then plastic sealant after drying it.

well, i thought i would update this slightly as a few more bits have changed

bought some fogs which arent wired up as of yet.

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimagizer.imageshack.us%2Fv2%2F640x480q90%2F834%2Fimg13631.jpg&hash=2e26929a3a1885bc5da909adb3891b280c910744)

got some Ed30 rears

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimagizer.imageshack.us%2Fv2%2F640x480q90%2F209%2Fimg17601.jpg&hash=a2f3372e65748dad45d5bbb8891c7198fe50ffa1)

detailing kit slowly building up

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimagizer.imageshack.us%2Fv2%2F640x480q90%2F585%2Fsiis.jpg&hash=5fbed577fffcab497ac3d41cb2ecb5658ac1b4cc)

i bought an Ed30 splitter also, sent that off to be painted along with my centre grill and badge to be colour coded to my wheels. got that fitted and its now looking like this :)

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimagizer.imageshack.us%2Fv2%2F640x480q90%2F812%2F643y.jpg&hash=92306eef019d5ec5c943103f016f1692db1f5eed)

how i ran it for a short while:

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimagizer.imageshack.us%2Fv2%2F640x480q90%2F195%2F2ldt.jpg&hash=ecb2629feae60f17cf03c59738a253b9ed95a441)

decided to paint the slam plate as it was looking a bit dodgy and you could see it slightly through the grill

before:

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimagizer.imageshack.us%2Fv2%2F640x480q90%2F834%2Fltzs.jpg&hash=65b498989d44db7bbe435d5ed4fade8769f23c58)

after:

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimagizer.imageshack.us%2Fv2%2F640x480q90%2F259%2Fjz5e.jpg&hash=da86e1f67aed6f99536cf41ebdf090e1e9ec11c7)

i then got round to mounting my plate to its original spot using magnets so i can take it off when i wish (yes i know its not quite straight, its been altered  )

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimagizer.imageshack.us%2Fv2%2F640x480q90%2F35%2Fd9j2.jpg&hash=8cc715e4702f48af240b1946c29071f2433c2ea9)

gave her a clean that day too

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimagizer.imageshack.us%2Fv2%2F640x480q90%2F90%2Fzo38.jpg&hash=502fd3b0fe9099f31e3e051d68a63b18b446de3b)

You noticed many improvements since the terra clean?

I have actually yeah, it seems to rev much more freely, thus making lower rev torque seem a lot more apparent. just seems to struggle less really. There is a particular hill that i used to have to drop down to 3rd or it would start struggling, since terraclean, 4th gear has no issues taking me up the hill

also i hardly drive up to high revs but previously it would feel like i would lose power after 3.5k revs, now it pulls all the way up to red line like a petrol would.

Im really pleased with how a remap and a terraclean has improved the drive of my derv  :happy2: however, it still doesnt stop me wanting a GTI
