Title: De wiper help
Post by: stu_no_1 on July 15, 2013, 10:30:03 pm
I recently removed the rear wiper and the water still comes out the hose at the back is there a way to code this out on vag com as when I uncheck the rear wiper installed on vag com it disables the front screen washers aswell

Don't know if you can code it out but the what's wrong with just not pushing the rear wiper stalk? I had a rear wiper delete on my mk4 and just never pushed the stalk. Simple fix  :happy2:

Water wont be going anywhere if you don't press it. Could maybes bend the water pipe back on its self to nip it and then fix it in that postion with a cable tie or something alike, just a idea if you carnt edit it out.

Never hurd of that stuff, yeah I agree it'd be better of you can edit it out using Vcds. Hopefully someone can answer your question as I'm not much use  :happy2:

There is a check box you can uncheck in vcds if you remove the rear wiper. Don't know if it stops the washer from spraying though.   :ashamed:

Even after unchecking with VCDS it still operates the same. The simple answer is to block the tube, just put a tie wrap on the folded end.  :happy2:

I have just left the end of the hose open. Think it adds a little bit of extra excitement to every day driving

make a few folds in the end part of the tube and cable tie it

or you could route the tube to the bottom of the boot where there should be a hole covered in paint, that way if you press it by mistake, water will just go out the boot.
