Title: Edition 30 baffled sump ?
Post by: Jonathon555 on July 22, 2013, 08:48:45 pm
Just got the oil changed on the ED30, when the sump plug was removed the oil did not spirt out in a single stream as expected .

It just sort of ran down the side of the sump for 5 mins at a reasonable rate.

Is this normal ?

Did you heat the engine first?
Runs out a lot better when it's hot lol

Engine was plenty warm ,  10 mile drive prior to oil change. So should be well up to temp.

Maybe oil was still cold.

It poured out bit like my track car does.
