Title: What's this part called? 1K0 807 177A
Post by: fonzie2107 on July 22, 2013, 09:34:34 pm
Been tearing my car down today and discovered that the part 1k0 807 177a is broken.

I've been looking for a new one on ebay but have no idea what its called.

I've tried bumper guide, bumper bracket ect.

Any help would be great.
Thanks

Front bumper bracket? Should be from the left side.

That's the one, plenty of the smaller bits that attach to to the bumper, but none of the bits I need.
Off to VW today then for a price.

Having just spoke to vw apparently the above part is part of the bumper and can't be brought separatly?

If it's part of the bumper, then why does it have a separate part #?
Sounds weird to me, but to be honest I wasn't able to find this part on eBay, online catalogs, etc.

Later edit: a friend of mine checked in ETKA and he wasn't able to find the part no. Only thing I found was from some chinese site (probably replicas of that part). :sad1:

That's all I managed to find. Have to buy in bulk though. One chap on ebay is braking a golf said he has it for £40+vat+postage, which is far more than I want to pay. I can buy a complete bumper for that and just remove the bracket.

One of the two clips is broken on mine and it has a crack in it. Just going to have to plastic weld the crack and hope one clip is enough to hold it. I think it will be ok as there are plenty of screws around the area.
