Title: Audi S3 Sprint Blue Now stage 2
Post by: Andy1994 on August 01, 2013, 08:52:39 pm
:driver:Well picking this up tomorrow hopefully, its an 06 reg with 72k on the clock bodywork is pretty good apart from one dent and some small rust on the drivers door sill, but im happy with it!! New to the vdub scene and coming from a fiesta st i can already say its a great improvement. Would love some ideas and feedback.

Yep will be modding very shortly, looking to get a suitcase delete dont want to fork out for a full exhaust just a nice sound and nice tail pipes is what im after.

So plans!:
Suitcase delete
stage 1 remap
alloy refurbishment (possible bbs ch)
lower on springs
fit aux
tidy up the bodywork!
enjoy

Whats the story with the rust warranty my car is an 06 plate on 73k should vw cover this before it gets any worse?

Looks a decent step up from the fiesta. Would love a black car, but would take so much work for me to be happy with the finish!

Regards the rust - sorry, but I think you have no absolutely no hope. Marks on the wheelarch look like stone chips gone bad, and scuffing on the door sill will be rejected as 'wear & tear'.

I had a go at VW with my old mkiv & rust on a wheelarch, but their default is 'its not internal corrosion' / 'caused by a stone chip'. VW CS were even worse...utter robots...

yeah miss the fezza tho haha, i dunno if its just a dodgey pick but the bits on the wing are all bubbled so i dont think thats down to stone chips, do you think the damage to the sills could be repaired easily or is it more than likely going to return

heres the fiesta before she went :(

My plans are:
Neuspeed or autotech cai
decat 3" downpipe
remap possibly stage2?
lower on eobachs or h&r springs colour code skirts and front splitter

but that is on hold until after february saving for insurance until then! being 19 its not going to be cheap!

Thought i may aswell update this, had the car remapped by a company called etune, just stage  so around 240-250bhp

also had an r32 rear put on, exhaust is a custom back box delete with 4 inch tips, sounds pretty good tbh

had the car up at crail raceway also, fastest time of a 15.3 couldnt get a decent start at all!.

looks nice m8 how do you find the depo lights & are you using hid kit ?

yeah using a 6k hid kit woth them, light output isnt the best tbh its nothing like genuine xenons anyway but id say its on par with standard halogen lamps so if its just the look your after id say there worth the cash

For some reason, I can't seem to like the red GTI badges on the front grill, it's not just this car as my girlfriend also has a black GTI with a red GTI grill badge. Other than that, looks really smart and the TD's set it off nicely. :happy2:

Well done Andy, S3 looks great  :happy2:

You should reap the rewards of Haldex and some potentially big horse/torque figures that should in theory be much more usable.

When you get bored of it, bigger turbo and Haldex controller...  :signLOL:

Thanks buddy yeah the 4wd is great just feels much more planted and gives you the confidence during a spirited drive, I think stage 1 should keep me happy for a while so that's on the cards
Title: Re: Audi S3 Sprint Blue Now stage 2
Post by: Andy1994 on February 21, 2016, 11:14:42 pm
Well thought I would give this a little update had my stage 2 map done today by ecotune in Glasgow and very happy with the results. My mods are full millltek echaust with sports cat and a ram air cold air induction kit. Turns out the car had a stage 1 map already on at approx 300 bhp but now running a stage 2 map peaking at 351bhp. I understand some people may be sceptical of this result but most importantly the car drives great.

Also done some other work recently replaced front shock absorbers, ball joints, drop links and top mounts and had the full front end resprayed so car drives and looks great. This is how it sits at the moment
