Title: 05 Golf twin fakra adaptor question?
Post by: madhoose on August 20, 2013, 01:23:43 pm
Hi,

So the first mod was to replace the MFD2 with a new double din.  I installed it ok, when I eventually got the correct fascia adaptor.

My question is - Do I just need to splice the blue/white wire to the blue/white from the head unit, or do I unplug this wire from the VW loom so its no longer connected?

I bet that's as clear as mud

Thanks

In the answer to your question mate, I don't have a clue

But I replied as was wondering what unit you went for. I've just "upgraded" mine to a cheap OEM lookalike from eBay and am already experiencing issues so was just wondering what you've fitted!

Hi,

I got a cracking deal on a pioneer f930bt, which I upgraded to the F940BT firmware and new maps.

I'll get a picture up tonight to show it installed with the new fascia I had to get.

I also needed a fakra to AVIC connector for my GPS Sharkfin aerial connector.

The only issue is that the radio reception is cronic, but I think that's down to the 2 aerial set up of my golf.

Yes it has what looks like 2 individual fakra, a connector with 2 cables going into it and a power? connector?
