Im looking to buy a mk5 golf gti, the car i have found has done 87000 miles, is this alot on these cars? what should i look for when viewing?

Full service history preferably on "time and distance" vs longlife schedule.
It should also have had a cam belt change.
If dsg, two dsg services.

Depends on the age of the car too of course, but generally that isn't much mileage. I'm selling my 55 plate with 78k on it and it drives like a dream still

As above, get it checked out by someone who knows their onions but I bought my GTI at 110k and sold at 125k. Went like a train as it was well-maintained.

I have 102k miles...had it since it was new w/78 miles on it. It still looks better than any other mkv I've seen and runs better too ;p
In fact it's so nice...I can't even sell it for what I believe it is worth...http://www.golfmkv.com/forums/showpost.php?p=3639064&postcount=1
