Post by: Bradders on September 09, 2013, 08:09:12 am
Hi guys, my seat bolster is looking a little worn, can anyone recommend a solution. Much appreciated.

I had a worn patch a bit like this, but not quite as bad. I found some specialist colouring/repair stuff by googling around. It is apparently quite difficult to use - bet there is someone out there who has found the easy way though! Can't find the link to it but will post if I do.
So I bought some grey shoe polish from a shoe shop and tried that. It took 2 or 3 applications, leaving it overnight to dry, then buffing off so as not to get over my clothes. Prob not as good as the proper stuff but a big improvement though.

I had a section put in by these

http://leechmere-industrial-estate.cylex-uk.co.uk/company/kish-executive-car-trimming-14451893.html

Their repair work was perfect and cost £120.00

However, I removed the seat and delivered it to them - turn round 5 working days

Always another option!

Last repair was to fabric approximately 12 months ago (MKIV)but have had leather repaired also.

They may of moved to that address, cause they were on Sheepfold Industrial Estate in Sunderland when I last used them.
