Hi guys. I got a refurb case for the key from eBay. It required me to change over the transponder, key and battery to a new case.
I done this and when I went to fire up the car the immobiliser kicked in as if the key wasn't coded. I've switched to my spare fob for the time being. How can I get the first key to work? I guess the same would happen if I changed the battery so I don't get why it's not coded now
Cheers

There's two different ways of it not working...one is the remote fails to operate the door locks (needs resynced with CCM) which I read can happen if the battery givea no power for 40 secs, your issue is with the glass transponder - did you drop it at all?

Literally popped the pcb out of one fob and put it in another

Yea but did you swap over the glass capsule chip? That is the immo

It's separate to the pcb?

PCB is the remote, yes.

Be very careful removing the glass capsule, if it breaks then it is dead

Gonna try this now, will update soon

Sorted. Can see how I missed it! It's tiny!
Thanks for your help!

Happy days and the best type of fixes :happy2:

Had this problem when changing my fob just now. Thank god this thread existed or I would never have seen the little Immo glass! Haha
