Yes I put my hands up I was speeding just remapped the car and was little heavy on the throttle and bang! I was caught by a police officer with a speed gun!
.........I've sent my Licence off at the police station but I've just tried to unfortunately pay the fine over the phone and I've been told that there is a digit missing off the notice number which the police officer incorrectly wrote down, I was told to ring the police on 101 to sort it but does this not mean the ticket is invalid, bear in mind I've sent my Licence off???
Thanks.

You were speeding, take the fine.

How fast and in what speed zone?
GOV says........
The Police have misquoted the details. Does this invalidate the speeding ticket?
If the Notice has been given to you at the scene, and thus you are fully aware of the circumstances of the allegation, minor errors, for example spelling mistakes, will not prevent a prosecution. However, some errors are regarded as so fundamental that they will prevent a case proceeding. Typical examples are if the location detailed is completely incorrect and some distance from the exact place at which the offence is alleged to have occurred. In order to challenge a case along these lines, the Defendant needs to establish that it is practically impossible to relate a Notice to the incident itself.

Thanks for that I've just studied the fine and everything is correct except the Force Code should be 3 digits but is 2 which is part of a notice number which should be 16 digits which is only 15.
Maybe I just need to bite the bullet and pay the fine and not do it again :driver: :innocent:
