Title: Retrofit heated washer and washer bottle low level
Post by: dandav1985 on December 04, 2013, 07:42:57 pm
Hello people.

Only just notice the last couple of days that my soot chucker hasn't got heated washer jets or low washer bottle indication. Yes after 3 years of ownership only just realised now :stupid:

Can this be retrofitted?

Is it a hard mod to do?

Wouldn't mind getting it done, since my golf only gets used to drive to Aberdeen and back once a month.

Cheers once again

Dan

Yes I did it on my old car, well low fluid warning as part of a headlight washer retrofit.

Eddie-NL once did a guide on uk-mkivs I think for the fluid level system, as for hot jets I would wrap the tubing around some warm pipes

Ed may be able to supply a kit, also I think Kufatec sell them (not cheap).

Hello mate,

Thanks for the reply.

Can't seem to find the retrofit kit on the kufatic website.

I'm wanting the xexon's next anyway so headlight washers are on the list...... :happy2:

Cheers for the info.

You're better off buying the 5.5L washer bottle as this (in my case) came with the sensor hole already bored out, but I guesz you'll be going that way anyhow.

Ed definitely used to make up heated washer jet kits.
