Title: Golf GTI MK5 oil presure light on

Set of to work on tuesday the oil light came on saying it was low so toped it up and on wednesday the oil pressure light came on aswell the garage have the sump off and its clean and so is the pick up pipe, anyone know or have any sugestions what this could be.

Have it fault code read by VCDS. May have a faulty pressure sensor. Also get a separate pressure test done by removing the sensor and plugging the tester in to see what the actual pressure is.

Could also be the pump. But not very likely as they don't usually fail.

Sounds stupid but I had issue with a bonnet switch which was linked to oil lights etc

Defo get it on VCDS otherwise just a guessing game mate!

VCDS all the way :-)
