BMW have been running April Fools jokes for years with stuff like P.R.A.M, the in car oven tech and more stuff I really hope this is is a BMW April Fool joke that the Mail have got hold of.

It does look real as does the (limited) info on BMW's website. It'd just amuse me if the Mail reported on a spoof.

I don't see why it couldn't be true, but there's obviously way more to knowing how to remove something and actually doing it.  Some people can barely fill their washer bottles...

Heres my take on it...

DEaler tech "So,Sir,you used google glass to try and fix this fault?"

Punter "Mhm,yes."

Dealer tech "But you didn't have the correct equipment ,so used whatever you had at hand?"

punter  "Er,thats right."

Dealer Tech "And what experience do you have at vehicle maintenance sir?"

punter "I can operate me 3D smart TV without looking at the manual!"

Dealer tech " Yes Sir,thats very good, but doesn't really say much about your mechanical skills,does it?"

punter "No,I suppose not."

"So,Sir can I suggest that we professionals have a look and try to help."
"Okay then,Cars outside."

a few hours pass as the BMW techs look at the mess that was caused by a muppet wearing oven gloves and assaulting the engine with nothing more than a rusty screwdriver and a kitchen spatula.

Tech 1 2remind me again,what was he doing?"

Tech 2 "Apparently,he was trying to Top up his washer reservoir and used the google glass to help.Unfortunatly,he hit the 'I feel lucky' button and it directed him to to oil cap instead of the reservoir bottle."

Tech1 " So he says....and he drove it here?"

Texh 2 "Yeah,Got lost a couple of times as he used Google maps and now the engines f**ked."

Tech 1"(whistles) Good job he got it here then.1 replacement engine and labour equals big bonus for us! Thanks Google!"
