Title: Sd Card
Post by: ollie288 on September 27, 2009, 12:22:16 pm: Can you use any SD card with the RNS 510 or does it need to be a particular one? There are so many different ones! :rolleye:
Any specific links would be great!

Just download all the parts to the puzzle and once you start the first part they will all merge into one so you can then burn onto a disc to slot into your RNS510.

Couple of precautionary questions... is the update dummy proof?

Do I run the risk of bricking my unit - and does it wipe all my music and favourite addresses, etc?

Post by: mortygttdi on September 28, 2009, 09:07:46 pm: Yes you run the risk of bricking your unit but this is the same with all the f/w updates. its not dummy proof but unlike some of the other f/w updates it can be reversed to the previous f/w so in reality it can be fixed very easily. Again this f/w update is not like the other previous f/w updates cos it doesn't delete the hdd maps or music.

Would this be suitable? I assume so but I wanted to make sure. I think this is a good make, dont want to go for a chinese crappy one or does it make no odds? :happy2:

I don't have the Fw update to 2660, I am running 1100 at the mo. I use the 2gb ones linked to below. If you have the Fw update I believe that you cab use up to a 32Gb SDHD card.
