First off the wind damages my door and today I dropped my iPhone in the toilet. Just great.
Things have gotta get up haven't they? haha

Were you dropping the kids off at the pool AND talking on your phone at the same time when this happened?
I can't do both at the same time, the former takes way too much concentration! :laugh:

Yeah I am none too happy. It's been in rice, but I have a feeling it's completely shot. It's on the radiator now. Such a bad week... I know it's just a thing, but it's an expensive thing that I just finished paying for and I am usually so careful with my stuff.

Bowl of rice in the fridge overnight... and/or oven at low heat..50 degrees or so for half an hour.

The phone lives! Just has some condensation on the glass in front of the front camera. Magic. Happier than I really should be considering it is just an inanimate object. But there we go. Haha. I suppose I am very lucky!

Only a material object, all can be replaced.
May be an extreme example, but all my worries have been put into perspective over the last two weeks, sadly a friend, only 30 years old, died suddenly on my birthday after being diagnosed with Epilepsy a week earlier.
So any day i feel abit crap, im just going to think, atleast im breathing and have another day ahead of me. :happy2:

I sympathise. Mrs DD was diagnosed with Stage 3 Cancer in September last year, she had to have two operations in December and has been undergoing daily radiotherapy and 2 weekly Chemo treatment since. A college friend of mine passed away a couple of weeks ago after loosing her battle with throat Cancer. It came as a shock as she had never smoked and was possibly the fittest of my friends :sad1:
On a plus point Mrs DD is on the road to recovery, the consultants are impressed with her progress and her condition is to be assessed in two weeks time.
Keeping it on track. Whilst i appreciate the iPhone is not to everybody's taste (bloody Android fan boys :grin: ) if like me, you try and to keep your apple kit in top condition loosing £500+ of phone due to water damage would be a massive PITA!

Guys I am sorry for your misfortunes. They suck ass, they really do and it does make me feel bad for moaning about just an object.
It's just when things stack like this when you try to look after them it just gets to you and just brings you down. Especially as I look after my things.
I'll stop moaning about it now! Thanks for the perspective, and I hope everything works out great :)

When I dropped my ipad a couple of months ago and trashed the screen in another country and had to live without the internet for a week I think I actually cried a little. Wasn't sure if it was due to breaking my ipad or the fact I was going to be without the internet for the rest of my holiday.

Haha, I would imagine it was a little bit of both. We become so accustomed to looking at the internet so much, that when it gets taken away we don't know what to do. It has been a pain having to remind myself that my phone is off and cannot be used. Haha.

Haha, I wiped it down. My sister just dropper her 5s into the toilet. This is just weird. Maybe it's her bad week :p

Well mine was in a groggy state after sleep, my friend called me. My sister was this evening so she has no excuse. Haha. I have learnt my lesson though.

Dropped my laptop 2 weeks ago, it would not restore, so took the hard-drive out to try an hook up with another we device, but no no no, it needed a new harddrive, so new one in all fixed...
Just aswell i backed it up at the start of the new year :laugh:
Think i got off light... The internet on a google chrome book is just not the same :signLOL:
