Title: Stereo install help ? What lead do I need ?

Right got my self a 2005 gt tdi , bought a pioneer avh 4400bt .so looking for a ISO lead thing and fascia

But some of the others on eBay say u have to join the red lead to the power in the fuse box ?

But I ain't confident enough to do that . So wondered if all of then will need this doing ? Just wanted plug snd play :/((

I am no expert but it may be down to battery drain. I had a pioneer 5500 I believe and suffered battery drain. Think you will need a can upgrade or new one to solve issue.

Other option is to patch the stereo fuse live into an ignition live fuse so the stereo switches off with ignition

I got the CTSVW002 adaptor which solved the ignition problem without running any extra wires.
