Does anyone know how i can tell wether i have 50 or 55mm strut as im goin to get coilovers but unsure on what to buy
-
What engine do you have...
-
For low powered engines (i.e. 1.4, 1.6 and probs some 1.9 TDI) the struts would be 50mm, higher powered models like the GTI would have 55mm struts. The easiest way to tell is to look at your brake calipers - if it has "FS-III" stamped on it then you have 50mm struts.

Was just wondering this myslef, as was going to order some FK coilovers and didnt have a clue what size i had as they list GTi for both. Will check my caliper tomorrow. :notworthy:
