Title: Edition 30 factory fit tyres
Post by: Dansmith on March 30, 2014, 08:27:06 pm
Needing to replace my front tyres however I'm beginning to feel like the tyres have never been changed on my car... It's only done 15k

So were the factory tyres conti contact 2s?

If so going by its a 07 plate I'm guessing I should replace all 4?

If your current tyres have 15k on them, they are likely to be factory fit, so you can check the brand.

If you look on the sidewall, you should see a 4 digit code, this shows the year the tyres were manufactured, if the tyres are original, look for (XX07) or even 06 if it's an early 2007 car.

I have seen Dunlops on a car of this age, they definitely need changing, tyres are not at their best after 5 years, less than ideal on a performance vehicle.

Sound advice, cannot over state this. If they were all 2006/7 tyres throw them all away, you won't regret it I promise you.  :happy2:
